I was lucky mine were nicely cast!<a href=\"http:\/\/www.railway-models-and-art.co.uk\/blog\/?attachment_id=289\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-289\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-289\" alt=\"BR Pipe Wagon 002\" src=\"http:\/\/www.railway-models-and-art.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/BR-Pipe-Wagon-0021.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"519\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.railway-models-and-art.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/BR-Pipe-Wagon-0021.jpg 800w, http:\/\/www.railway-models-and-art.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/BR-Pipe-Wagon-0021-300x194.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.railway-models-and-art.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/BR-Pipe-Wagon-0021-462x300.jpg 462w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a> Almost all the add on parts for this kit are cast white metal, despite planning to sell it I have scratch built the most vulnerable parts &#8211; The next bit of scratch building was the brake cross beam. The cast one was too short so I cut off the cast arm that goes to the vacuum cylinder and made a new rod from copper tube and brass rod.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.railway-models-and-art.co.uk\/blog\/?attachment_id=285\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-285\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-285\" alt=\"BR Pipe Wagon 002\" src=\"http:\/\/www.railway-models-and-art.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/BR-Pipe-Wagon-002.jpg\" width=\"758\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.railway-models-and-art.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/BR-Pipe-Wagon-002.jpg 758w, http:\/\/www.railway-models-and-art.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/BR-Pipe-Wagon-002-300x237.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.railway-models-and-art.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/BR-Pipe-Wagon-002-379x300.jpg 379w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 758px) 100vw, 758px\" \/><\/a> The next issue on mine was the tie bars between the axle boxes they are etched and have dimples for the rivets\/bolts.
