{"id":5374,"date":"2022-04-14T09:53:43","date_gmt":"2022-04-14T08:53:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.railway-models-and-art.co.uk\/blog\/?p=5374"},"modified":"2022-04-14T09:53:43","modified_gmt":"2022-04-14T08:53:43","slug":"gladiator-j6-fitting-the-brakes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.railway-models-and-art.co.uk\/blog\/?p=5374","title":{"rendered":"Gladiator J6 Fitting The Brakes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As I mentioned in the Princess Build Post in between punching out rivets which is a little tedious to say the least I have also done a bit more on the brakes for the J6<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The brake hangars are single layer etches and being an older hand drawn kit the holes are a bit on the big side for lengths of wire. The GA drawing shows that there were turnbuckle type adjusters at the cab end so I&nbsp;knocked a couple up on the mill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I also fitted the brake cylinders which requited yet another frame spacer to be milled out&#8230;.
